The valley
grows quiet
Warm up in the cedar sauna. Cool off under the outdoor shower or in the pond. Then the terrace, a hammock, a record on the turntable. The sauna and the pond are yours alone. Nobody books the slot after you.

Heat, then cold water, then a hammock
The sauna is cedar, with a panoramic window running down one wall, so you sit facing the valley rather than a bench. It works all year, takes about 90 minutes to come up to heat and runs to 95 °C. In winter the glass fogs and clears and the trees outside go dark by four. In summer you can leave the door open onto the deck and listen to the pond.
The pond is not a pool. It is a natural swimming pond with sand filtration and no chlorine, which is why it does not look the same twice. Clearer and cold in spring, soft and warm by August, dark and very cold in January. There is no lifeguard and no attendant, so swimming is at your own risk and children belong within arm’s reach of an adult. Some guests get in every month of the year. Others look at it from the sauna and decide that is enough.
Between the two there is an outdoor shower, and that is the part people tend to remember: heat, cold water, cold air, then the hammock.
The deck is 55 m². There is a grill and a fire pit, the wood is stacked and ready, and the sound system carries from the living room through the pergola to the sauna, so whatever is playing follows you outside.
Two paddleboards come with the house. The Slapy reservoir is a short drive down the hill and there is a beach at Nová Rabyně, two kilometres away.
The sauna, the pond and the outdoor areas are for guests of the house only. Nothing is shared with anyone else and nothing runs to a timetable. Children use the sauna, the pond, the fire pit and the paddleboards under adult supervision.
